Akron Neighborhoods

Merriman Valley — The properties around Stan Hywet Hall and along Sand Run Parkway tend to have mature trees and sloped lots that call for thoughtful deck placement. We’ve designed multi-level builds in this area that work with the natural terrain instead of fighting it. Most homeowners here lean toward premium composite with low-profile lighting.

Fairlawn Heights — Beautiful 1920s–1940s Tudor and Colonial homes on spacious wooded lots. The challenge here is designing outdoor spaces that complement the existing architecture without clashing. We match railing styles, color palettes, and proportions to what’s already there.

Wallhaven — A neighborhood with real character — everything from castle-style homes to classic Colonials around Market Street and Hawkins Avenue. We’ve done smaller, well-detailed deck projects here where design matters more than square footage.

Highland Square — Creative neighborhood near the Highland Theatre and Portage Path where homeowners invest in their properties. Lot sizes vary, so space-maximizing designs and creative layouts are common in our projects here.

Goodyear Heights — A historic neighborhood originally developed by Goodyear founder Frank Seiberling with solid early 20th century homes. Great bones on these properties. We handle a lot of deck replacement and restoration work here, upgrading older wood decks to composite.

Northwest Akron — Established residential area with larger homes close to Copley and Fairlawn. The lots give us room to build deck-and-patio combinations with pergolas — full outdoor living setups that get used from April through October.

Surrounding Suburbs

Hudson — We’ve built several projects near the historic downtown and along the Stow Road corridor where the lots open up. Homeowners here tend to go for larger composite builds with integrated lighting and multi-season usability. The mature trees create great natural privacy, which shapes how we plan the layout.

Montrose-Ghent — The properties along Montrose West Avenue and the surrounding neighborhoods are well-maintained and the expectations are high. We do a lot of premium Trex and TimberTech installations in this area — full outdoor living packages with covered dining areas and built-in seating.

Bath Township — Wooded estate-style lots bordering Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The terrain here can be steep and the builds more complex, which is where our engineering background shows. Elevated decks with custom railing systems are common in Bath.

Silver Lake — Tight-knit village community with well-kept homes. Most of our work here is composite deck builds and patio installations that maximize the available yard space. Clean, detailed work that fits the neighborhood’s character.

Richfield — Sits right between Cleveland and Akron with quick access to the national park. Larger properties with room for significant outdoor living projects. We’ve built deck-and-patio combinations here designed around firepit seating and evening entertaining.

Peninsula — A small village surrounded by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Building here means working with wooded, sloped sites and designing decks that frame the natural views. We’ve done cantilevered and elevated builds in Peninsula that take full advantage of the setting.

Greater Akron Communities

Cuyahoga Falls — A lot of our work here is in the neighborhoods off State Road and closer to the Gorge Metro Park. The terrain can be tricky with elevation changes along the Cuyahoga River, which is where our engineering experience makes a difference. The revitalized Front Street area has also driven more investment in outdoor living for the surrounding residential streets.

Stow — Family-friendly suburb with great park access — the Bike and Hike Trail runs right through town. We build a range of projects here from standard composite decks to full outdoor living packages with patios and pergolas. The lots give us room to work with, which homeowners appreciate.

Fairlawn — Residential neighborhoods along West Market Street with a mix of ranch-style and two-story homes. We’ve done everything from simple deck replacements to covered deck-and-patio setups in this area. Quick access for consultations since we’re nearby.

Copley — Suburban feel with good-sized lots and family-oriented properties. Homeowners here often want deck and patio combinations that give them separate zones for grilling, dining, and lounging. Practical layouts that get daily use.

Green — Growing community between Akron and Canton with newer housing developments. We see a lot of homeowners here adding outdoor living space to 5–15 year old homes that were built with basic patios or no outdoor features at all.

Tallmadge — Historic community east of Akron with a distinctive town circle at its center. Established homes with character. We’ve handled several deck renovation projects here — tearing down old wood builds and replacing them with composite that fits the home’s existing style.

Barberton — South Akron community with practical, budget-conscious projects. We build quality wood and composite decks here at every price point. Good, honest work doesn’t have to come with a premium zip code.

Norton — Southwest of Akron with a mix of suburban developments and more rural properties. The larger lots give us room for creative builds — wrap-around decks, multi-level designs, and combined deck-patio projects.

Portage Lakes & Southern Communities

Portage Lakes — Waterfront properties here need decks designed around the view. We build elevated and cantilevered decks along the lakefront with composite materials rated for moisture exposure. Drainage and runoff are factored into every project in this area since you’re building close to the water. The lakefront lifestyle drives a lot of outdoor entertaining upgrades.

Coventry Township — Adjacent to Portage Lakes with a mix of lakefront and residential properties. We see similar project types here — decks designed for water proximity and outdoor living that takes advantage of the lake-area setting.

New Franklin — Growing community south of Akron with newer homes that often come with minimal outdoor space. We help homeowners here add the deck or patio their builder didn’t include.
